John Deere has announced that new options and updates will be available on its M-Series Tracked Feller Bunchers, Harvesters, and Shovel Logger. They will benefit customers seeking more feel and control of movement when operating these machines.

The Smooth Boom Control (SBC) has been enhanced to improve the amount of pressure needed to operate equipment, ultimately giving customers more precise control. Operators will now have a wider tuning range for individual functions and an improved set-up for multiple operator preferences.

The seats of these machines have also been upgraded with dual-density foam for more support and comfort. Built-in contoured lumbar and thigh support reduce operator fatigue throughout the workday. A heated and ventilated seat option is also available, and all seat configurations come with either a wide lap belt or four-point harness. Finally, Deere has also added adjustable suspension dampers to the equipment to reduce vibration while providing more variable dampening.

"A machine's ability to adapt to any operator using equipment for extended periods is vital to productivity," said Jim O'Halloran, product marketing manager at John Deere. "Continuous improvement is always top of mind when it comes to our equipment, and enhancing the machine control and operator comfort levels are prime examples of offering a greater customizable functionality to operators."
